The 2021 “China·Suzhou” College Students’ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition kicked off on the afternoon of Nov. 24. The competition, which is held online and broadcasted live, is divided into four categories: local youth, local universities, domestic universities, and overseas teams. There will be 12 teams to be shortlisted into the finals.
The annual competition has been held for 14 consecutive times since 2008. It has gathered a total of nearly 10,000 projects, about 250 of which have entered the finals. It has helped create 50,000 jobs, contributing significantly to local industrial upgrading and economic growth.
This year’s competition is jointly organized by the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Education Bureau, the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, the Municipal Commerce Bureau, the Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, the Retired Military Affairs Bureau, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the CYLC Suzhou Municipal Committee, and the Municipal Women’s Federation.
